Ferguson’s comeback

June 8 a fight of an American mixed martial artist and a former interim UFC Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson and his compatriot Donald Cerrone is taking place in Chicago at UFC 238.

Having 11 wins in a row, Ferguson was already a candidate for the lightweight division belt. Only Habib Nurmagomedov was left to be defeated when the American injured his knee, which incapacitated him for several months.

Tony returned last year in October and had a great fight against former champion Anthony Pettis. By technical knockout, he defeated Pettis and left fighting to solve family problems. At the meeting with UFC President Dana White, which was held at the beginning of May, Ferguson made it clear that he was ready to return.

Cerrone is a former contender for the title of champion who had a fight against Al Yaquinta in April. Donald won three fights in a row and stated that his main mission was to get the UFC belt. Victory over Ferguson would bring him this opportunity.

Ferguson and Cerrone will fight in the UFC 238 tournament, which includes two title fights. Tony is a clear favorite. However, we should not forget that he has not fought for almost a year.

Who knows in what shape he will be? Do you think he will continue his winning streak?
